Inmates Allowed To Play Video Games in Jail — Or So They Thought

prisoners allowed to play video games in jail

Unbeknownst to the majority of the world, prisoners in the UK are fully allowed to play their favorite video game consoles while they serve their sentence. It’s obvious that we no longer live in a world where going to prison means having to endure horrible atrocities, but instead are rewarded with getting to play the latest and greatest video games while prisoners wait for their sentence to end.

Unfortunately for inmates, it was announced today that their precious gaming consoles would be taken away, amidst fears that the consoles could be used to conduct horrible amounts of terrorism. Prisoners will have to return to playing Gin Rummy and Go Fish.

PSP Hard Drive In The Works?

PSP-HDD

Sony Europe President David Reeves says they company hasn’t ruled out a future Hard Drive expansion for the PSP.

“I think that it certainly is not ruled out,”

“The only thing I would say is that the flash memory is simply so cheap - you can get an 8GB Memory Stick for under 100 Euros, and on 8GB you can get a lot of content.”

“I think the big debate is - there’s a point in time when you have to put a stake in the ground and say we’re going to go with flash memory or we’re going to go with hard drive. I don’t think they’ve put that stake in the ground just yet,” he added.

“So they’re thinking about it - I think they’ll get through Christmas and think about what the next step would be. You might hear more later.”

One of the biggest if not THE BIGGEST development in the PSP hacking scene has just unfolded. A collective group of hackers including the likes of Dark_Alex, Noobz and Booster have released a new piece of software which will replicate the exact functions of Sony’s Jigkick battery (even better) - that means it is now possible for homebrew enabled PSP’s to UNBRICK and DOWNGRADE their systems at their own will. The respective software will transform any regular PSP battery into one which can perform all the functions of the official Sony JigKick which is used by Sony repair staff themselves.
