Manhunt 2 Charges Downgraded To Second Degree Murder, M Rating

Manhunt 2

Look like Manhunt 2 is finally going be set free from it’s rating shackles and see a release after all.Rockstar announced that the game has been given an M rating in the US, downgraded from it’s previous Adults Only Rating.

After resubmitting a modified version of the game the ESRB downgraded it’s rating, which will pave the way for the games release.

“Manhunt 2 is important to us, and we’re glad it can finally be appreciated as a gaming experience,” said Sam Houser, founder of Rockstar Games.

“We love the horror genre. Manhunt 2 is a powerful piece of interactive story telling that is a unique video game experience. We think horror fans will love it.”

Previously the games AO rating had led to both Nintendo AND Sony refusing to allow the game to be released on it’s consoles, as well as an outright banning by several countries.

The game is now scheduled for an October 31st release in North America.
