NCAA ‘08 and The Weather Channel bring you realtime weather

EA and the The Weather Channel Interactive (TWCI) have announced they are going to give players the ability to experience “accurate”, real-time weather conditions at NCAA stadiums. TWCI will provide a custom weather data feed to EA Sports . When a player connects and loads a new game they will be prompted to choose the real-time option.

“This is a long-awaited feature for gamers – it is the first sports game we know of where actual current weather conditions will affect weather conditions in the game,” said Derek Van Nostran, director of marketing for The Weather Channel Interactive. “The Weather Channel Interactive welcomes this opportunity to work with EA Sports to bring an extra dose of realism to the game.”

Kind of sounds like a glorified weather widget but it sounds pretty cool. How accurate are the damn weather people anyways!

Yet another reason to NEVER LEAVE THE HOUSE EVER AGAIN!!!!!

Whao whao whao…..lets not say stuff we can’t take back!!

Several games that have advertised this, and it always seems like the dullest feature ever to me…just let me set the weather manually, that’s good enough for me…and better actually.
